Reprimanded for being who I am,
Confused, abused, sworn at and damned,
I ran for miles but moved an inch,
I ended it there without even a flinch.
In a world that beats and cheats and defeats,
I am not needed to walk these streets,
I love alone a life on my own,
For one once seen, I am now unknown.
Everyone is their own person. Each life belongs to them alone. It is not our business to get involved in their affairs. The lengths some go to to get accepted, recognised and loved in return is slandered by those who defeat them and take for granted their efforts. Nothing comes easily, imagine the difficulty for those who pursue their desires knowing they will be fruitless. Those with real power are those who try their hardest knowing the consequences, not those who discriminate and take strength in the thought that they wil be "pardoned". Humans are humans, we are animals like dogs and bears, we take pride in being more intelligent than those other species. Yet we seem to lack what they do not; the capacity to love others no matter what the circumstances. We all have to share this world, we're not the only ones living on it. So why make it harder on ourselves by creating problems and differences. We are diverse. That is what makes us human. It's saddening to know that some cannot grasp that concept.
